Texas Triva
The area around San Antonio was established in the early 1700's. Its early history centers around several Spanish missions built during that period. The most famous of these missions, the Alamo, served as a fortress in the Texas Revolution at the Battle of the Alamo. Centrally located between the settlements of Texas and the interior of Mexico, San Antonio was an important trading center throughout the eighteenth and much of the nineteenth centuries. In was located on the Old San Antonio Road that connected Mexico with Nacogdoches in east Texas. One of Texas' most picturesque cities, San Antonio today boasts numerous tourist attractions including the scenic River Walk, Brackenridge Park, the Buckhorn museum, and of course the Alamo and four other old Spanish missions. is best known as the location of the drafting and signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence. As the meeting place where the Ad Interim government of the Republic was formed, it thus became the first temporary capital of the Republic. The town again became the capital of the Republic in 1842 when the government was moved from Houston. By 1845, however, the government returned to Austin. Today, the original site at Washington-on-the-Brazos is a historical park adjacent to a small farming settlement.

The Blue Topaz on our site, unless otherwise noted, is unfortunately not from the Mason County, Texas area .
The production of that material just cannot meet our manufacturing demands and is generally very light blue or clear compared to the deeper Blue Topaz we offer.

Take a look at the largest known Lone Star cut Blue Topaz!
